Our currant jam is a house favorite and perhaps one of the most beautiful jams we make. The clear ruby-red jelly comes from our own farm-grown red and pink champagne currants. Within the jelly, whole currants are suspended like jewels lending a burst of flavor and added texture.
This jam is bright and flavorful. In addition to making a delicious toast, our currant jam is versatile as a compliment to cheese plates and meats. The currant itself is packed with vitamin C and the jam is sought after among many Northern Europeans we meet at farmers markets who have fond memories of currants growing in grandmothers' backyard gardens.
